I recently witnessed a hot glass enameling demonstration.  But in addition to enameling glass beads, the demonstrator also enameled metal findings using glass enamel powders.  So driving home, I pondered over the idea of enameling bottle caps.  It works!  And I’ve since written a tutorial on how to enamel bottle caps, which was just published in the 2013 issue of The Flow Magazine.

If you’re a hot glass artist and you’re not familiar with The Flow, then this is your access to one of the industry’s most gorgeous and informative publications.  Not to mention, their website and newsletters provide tons of free hot glass tutorials and tidbits.

Enameling bottle caps is a simple, fun project with tons of creative possibilities.  And it uses free recycled materials.   So have a blast and send me pics!
